Silfra, Þingvellir, Selfoss, Geysir, Gullfoss and Dinner

Lots of things to do today and each could be a post but where is the fun in that. Dinner was warm 🙂

Silfra Fissure is a rift formed in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the tectonic boundary between the North American and Eurasian plates, is located in the Þingvallavatn Lake in the Þingvellir National Park. Visibility of up to 100 meters and a temperature just above freezing. Yes, it was cold 🙂

Thingvellir is home to the world’s first democratically elected parliament that remains functioning, Alþingi, was formed in 930 AD. Apparently this area was also used in Game of Thrones.
